Got the Résumé
Blues?
- Michele Angello, Professional Résumé
Writer, CPRW
Ever get that sinking feeling that your résumé is
not as good as it should be?
Have you looked at résumé books or samples online
and wondered what you could do to make your résumé
look that good?
Have you ever copied someone else’s résumé
format – or even the words?
Have you been looking for a job for ages?
If you can relate to any of this, then here’s something to
consider…
It’s rough writing a résumé, and it’s
rough looking for a job. I talk to people all the time and I hear
the crazy stories about companies, job searches – really sad
stuff. It really bugs me that people have to go through this kind
of mess!
What should happen during your job search is this –
When your résumé looks great - there is a huge difference
in how you feel about it and the reactions you get. First of all,
you should be able to read it and feel pretty darn proud of yourself.
That’s because if you do feel a little puffed up, then it
probably accurately reflects everything you have accomplished in
your work and education. And, I know it sounds strange, but if you
send it out feeling that way, then you have set yourself up for
good reactions when it’s read by a stranger. (Sorry, didn’t
mean to get all touchy feely there. I’ll stop. :-) )
Also, when you send your résumé out, you should get
calls for multiple interviews right away. And when you show it to
friends and family, you should hear comments like “Wow, I
didn’t know you did that.” or “Looks good, don’t
change a thing.” “I think I know someone who could use
someone like you.”
Of course, the best and easiest way to get this reaction is to
hire a professional résumé writer to write it for
you. (I just happen to know one! ;-) ) But if you are a do-it yourselfer
(like I am,) or just don’t have the money to spend, then you
need another solution.
Did you make
these mistakes on your résumé?
- Did you use the header from the MS template
that 75% of people do? If you did, you could be fading into the
background along with millions of other résumés
that look just like yours!
- Did you use Times New Roman or Arial as your
font? Then you’ve used what 90% of résumés
do, and don’t look unique at all. Not good!
- How to turn the most common résumé
mistake into an interviewing triumph.
- Don’t put this one sentence into your résumé,
or you’ll be about 10 years out of date. (Hint - most
people put it at the top of the first page.)
- Rush through and make this mistake, and it’ll
mean that no matter how good your résumé is,
no one will call you.
- Did your dates go in the best place, or did you
hang them on the left of the page – in the worst place
possible?
See, the thing is, résumé writing is an art. And
I don’t just say that because I’m a résumé
writer, but because I’m told that all the time. I write résumés
for people who are very good writers themselves - even journalists
and copywriters.
But not everyone can or chooses to pay the price of hiring me,
so I decided that I would create a quick-reading, easy-to-follow
guide that would show people how to do what I do for my clients
- for themselves.
This resource represents what I’ve learned in 9 long years
of writing résumés fulltime. It started with what
I learned when I earned my professional résumé writer
certification (CPRW), learned from communicating with other professional
résumé writers daily for 9 years, from writing hundreds
of résumés for my clients, from writing hundreds of
résumés for well-known, national résumé
websites, and finally what I know that made the most renowned résumé
writers in the country pick my resumes to go in their books.

There’s a lot of hard-earned experience
that I’ve crammed into only 10 pages. You get the benefit
of all my experience, as well as every professional résumé
writer or source I’ve ever learned from over the years. And
it’s set up in a way that you can read it and follow along
as you work on your résumé and in just a few hours,
come out with a résumé that’ll make you and
yo’ mama proud.
I wanted to be absolutely sure that anyone using this guide would
get the best information out there on writing their résumé.
So I included:
- The 3 easy tricks for adding some classy looking
style to your résumé, and exactly how to do
it in MS Word.
- The 2 little words that will amp up every résumé
- 3 ways to get shrink your résumé
to fit onto 1 or 2 pages
- The 6 best, nicest looking fonts
- 5 unique headers to use
- The free website with 1000’s of keywords
specific to every career field
- My résumé writing secret weapon
- 15 rules for résumé writing success
If you’ve looked around for a professional résumé
writer, you know that it’s hard to hire one for under two
hundred bucks. My packages run from $400 to $1,800 and are worth
every penny. This booklet that I’ve developed is the closest
you can get to hiring a professional writer and gives you all my
knowledge, expertise and experience – everything I do for
my clients that pay hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.
But, I’ve decided that even though this is a very valuable
resource, I wanted to make it available to anyone who needs it for
a reasonable price. You'll download your own PDF version within
a few minutes of ordering for only $37. You’ll then be on
your way to creating a powerful, jazzed up, new résumé
that will help you get interviews faster.

I know how it is - thinking that if you order something online,
you really don’t know if it’s going to be worth it –
no matter how low the price. I’m going to take away all that
worry with a nice little guarantee.
If you buy this e-book, apply the easy steps to your existing résumé
and you don’t see a big improvement in your résumé,
I’ll refund every penny of the $37, no questions asked. Or
you have the option of emailing me your résumé that
you have improved based on my techniques, and I’ll give you
personal feedback on what you have left to do to jazz up your résumé
and make it work for you – no charge. I usually charge $65
an hour to do any kind of revamp work. Either way you are covered.
Pretty good little guarantee, huh?
I know The Jazzed up Résumé Guide is a fantastic
value, something that will benefit anyone with a better résumé
and a faster job search. It’s expensive being out of work,
and can cost you $1,153 a week to be out of work if you make 60K
a year. Ouch. Just a $37 investment can help you make sure that
you find a better job – faster.
Once you see it for yourself, I’m sure you’ll agree.
Sincerely,
Michele
Angello, CPRW
